Nicole Bell (Branchville, NJ/Sussex County Technical) claimed a 19th place finish at the CCSU Mini Meet, held at Stanley Quarter Park on Friday afternoon.
Yale won the team race with a score of 50, including three runners in the top seven. They were followed by Monmouth (51), Boston College (85), the host Blue Devils (153) and Boston University (160).
Bell crossed the finish line with a mark of time of 10:37.4 as she led the Green & White for the fifth straight race.
Senior
Danielle Iacampo (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa)
claimed a 33rd place finish after clocking in with a time of 10:54.4.
Fellow classmate
Laynee Viniotis (Bellevue, WA/Sammamish) finished 81st with a mark of 11:29.8.
For the Seahawks, who finished 13th overall in the meet, was sophomore
Maria Scalici (Staten Island, NY/Susan E. Wagner)
, who crossed the finish line with a time of 11:52.3. Junior
Brietta Wilson (Neptune, NJ/Neptune)
posted a time of 12:12.6 and sophomore
Florina Jajaga (Staten Island, NY/ Port Richmond [Holy Family]) ended the race with a time of 13:59.6.
The Green & White will now prepare for the 2015 Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships, which will be held on October 31 in Smithfield, RI on the campus of Bryant University.
