Hartford, CT - The Wagner women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Hartford in non-conference action.

The Seahawks fell to 5-8 on the season while the Hawks improve to 1-7.

In doubles action, the duo of junior Rachel Jurgielewicz (Downingtown, PA / Downingtown East) and sophomore Jenna Harris (Fountain Hills, AZ / Fountain Hills) improved to an impressive 8-2 on the season with a dominating 8-2 victory over Felicia DeMarco and Hannah Goldman at No. 3. Unfortunately, Hartford would collect the first point of the match thanks to winning at No. 1 and No. 2.

During singles play, freshman Cassidy Lessard (Jamesport, NY / McGann-Mercy) posted a solid 6-4, 6-4 straight sets win against DeMarco at No. 6 to round out the winners for the Green & White.

Wagner will return to action on Friday, April 11 at Hofstra with first serve slated for 12:00 pm.
