The matchup between the Seahawks and Hawks, marks Wagner's first home game in three weeks and will be the 59
th all-time meeting between the screen & White have won the last six meets but the Hawks lead the overall series, 32-26.

LAST TIME OUT...- Wagner delivered a solid defensive effort and received a team-high 22 points from senior guard Marcus Burton (Charlotte, NC/David W. Butler), but the Seahawks could not overcome 27.3 percent shooting in dropping a 61-47 decision at Vermont at Patrick Gymnasium on Sunday, December 14.
SCOUTING THE MONMOUTH HAWKS…- The Hawks enter today's contest one game under .500 at 4-5 but have jumped out to a 2-0 record in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, after defeating Marist, 57-50, in Poughkeepsie and edged a tough Iona Gaels squad, who currently has the nation's leading scorer in A.J. English, 92-89 back on December 7.
- Monmouth dropped a road contest at Fordham, a 68-58 overti, in overtme decision last time out. Deon Jones tossed in 16 points on an efficient 5-of-9 effort from the floor, including going 6-of-8 from the free-throw line, in 32 minutes of action.
- Jones is the team's leading scorer at 13.4 points per game while sophomore guard Justin Robinson is chipping in 11.3 points per contest. Senior forward Brice Kofane is the team's leading rebounder at 6.0 caroms per contest while Robinson has dished out 3.3 assists per game.
ALL-TIME AGAINST MONMOUTH...- This afternoon's contest is the 59th all-time meeting in the head-to-head series while pitting former conference members against each other
- Wagner, who trails 32-26 in the series, first squared off against Monmouth on January 7, 1985 in West Long Branch, NJ and escaped South Jersey with a 68-66 victory.
- These two schools were members of the ECAC Metro Athletic Conference from 1985-to-1988 when league administrators and school officials decided the conference needed a facelift in 1988 and rebranded the conference into the Northeast Conference.
- The Green & White are riding a six-game win streak against the Hawks, last being defeated, 76-67, on February 13 at Monmouth.
- The last time Wagner was defeated by Monmouth on Staten Island was on February 8, 2007, when the Seahawks dropped 70-63 decision.
