Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's soccer team finished today's game in a 0-0 draw in double overtime with Bryant at Hameline Field.

The game had a dramatic finish when Bryant was granted a free kick from 25 yards out with six seconds remaining in the second overtime. The attempted shot sailed wide left as the final seconds ticked away.

With the draw, the Green & White now have a record of 6-6-2 (2-1-1 NEC) on the year, while the Bulldogs are 3-10-1 (1-1-1 NEC).

The Seahawks controlled the ball for much of the first half but were unable to score. The second half saw the pace of the game change, as much of the play was in the middle of the field, with both teams josttling for the ball.

The first overtime saw Bryant gain the upper hand as the Seahawks' defense was facing relentless pressure with the Bulldogs were able to get off multiple shots, including one that bounded off the top of the crossbar.  The tables turned in the second overtime when Wagner went on the attack, but the Seahawks were still unable to score a goal.

The Green & White outshot Bryant by a 16-14 count.

Fifth-year senior goalkeeper Katie Marcy (Bellmore, NY / John F. Kennedy) recorded eight saves in posting her sixth shutout of the season.

The Green & White will return to action on Sunday, October 19 when they host the Central Connecticut Blue Devils in a 1:00 p.m. start at Hameline Field.
