Staten Island, NY - Wagner opened up the 2012-2013 season with a 6-1 loss to Siena at the Wagner Tennis Courts.

Sophomore Julia Teichman (Plymouth Meeting, PA / Germantown Academy) was impressive at No. 5 singles in taking the first set by a 6-4 count. She then clinched the victory when Elora Benfer retired in the second set with Teichman up 1-0.

Freshman Nicole Vukov (Milan, Italy / Boca Prep International (FL)) was solid in defeat, dropping a tightly contested match at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4.

The Saints captured the doubles point by virtue of sweeping all three matches.
