Fairfield, CT – The Wagner College women's soccer team fell to Fairfield, 1-0, in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon, dropping to 1-4 on the season while the Stags improve to 2-2.

The two teams played a scoreless first half, with the Seahawks holding the Stags to one shot on goal. However, Fairfield broke through with the game's lone tally in the 49th minute as Lauren Reilly headed in a corner from Jessica Broadbent.

The Seahawks had four shots on goal in the match, two of them from junior Jackie Nicholas (Rockville Centre, NY/ South Side). Sophomore goalkeeper Lisa Capelli (Manalapan, NJ/ Red Bank Catholic) recorded five saves on the afternoon. Fairfield's Kathleen Early stopped all four Wagner attempts.

The Green & White return to action on Friday, September 7, when Howard makes the trip to Grymes Hill for a 4:00 pm match.
