Daytona Beach, FL –
The Seahawks men's golf team wrapped up their 2012 season placing ninth at the Northeast Conference Championship Tournament this weekend held at the LPGA International Legends Course in Daytona Beach, FL.

Wagner's team four-member score of 976 gave them a ninth place finish out of the 10-team conference field. Mount St.
Mary's picked up its first team title, posting a 900 after the three-round event.

For the last time, senior Steve Nakajima (Delta British Columbia, Canada / Delta Secondary School) led the Green & White throughout the weekend, shooting rounds of 79-77-75 to finish at plus-15 and tied for 12th place individually.

Teammates Jan Saroch (Prague, Czech Republic / Gymnazium Jiriho Gutha-Jarkovskeho), Kyle Sullivan (Stony Point, NY / Albertus Magnus), and Tommy Arison (Fairlawn, OH / Archbishop Hoban High) helped make up the four-golfer team score as Saroch finished at plus-30, Sullivan at plus-32, and Arison at plus-37. Junior Lucas Grant rounded out Wagner's five-member travel squad with a plus-48.

Nakajima is the Seahawks lone graduating senior on the 2012 roster, as head coach Christopher Fourman recently received National Letters of Intent from two stellar incomers from Ohio, allowing Wagner to regroup and gear up for their fall 2012 season.
