Neshanic, NJ - Senior
Steve Nakajima (Delta British Columbia, Canada / Delta Secondary School) led the Wagner men's golf team in the 18-hole Peacock Invitational on Tuesday, finishing tied for fourth out of a 66-golfer field. The Seahawks finished 12
th as a team, 28 shots back from host Saint Peter's College, who won the event with a team score of 289.
After his first nine holes, Nakajima was just one shot off the lead, before carding a total one-round score of 72 (35-37) to finish in the top five.
Kyle Sullivan (Stony Point, NY / Albertus Magnus),
Lucas Grant (Schenectady, NY / Schenectady HS) and
Tommy Arison (Fairlawn, OH / Archbishop Hoban High) kept their scores in the low 80's, with Sullivan posting an 81, while Grant and Arison each fired 82's to make up Wagner's four-man team score of 317.
Eric Mathias (Martinsburg, WV / Martinsburg) rounded out the Green & White's five-man travel squad, shooting a 41-49 for a 18-hole score of 90.
The Seahawks will have one last regular season match before their Northeast Conference Championship tournament, traveling to Deal, NJ, on Thursday, April 26
th for a quad match hosted by Monmouth.
