New Britain, CT - The Wagner women's cross country team geared up for next week's 5K Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship with the Central Connecticut (CCSU) Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park. 

The Seahawks sent four runners to the 3K course with senior Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) leading the way for the Green & White in 49th (11:18.69). Sophomore Heather Wolf (Pine Brook, NJ / Montville Township) took 67th with a time of 11:37.12, while classmate Victoria Spector (Yaphank, NY / Longwood) finished 77th in 11:47.24. Junior Francis Zuniga (Levittown, NY / Island Trees) rounded out the Green & White foursome in 98th (12:09.39).

Yale took top honors with 24 points, while Bryant's Eimear Black won the individual title with a time of 10:03.97.

Led by reigning NEC Athlete of the Week Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph By The Sea), Wagner will take part in the aforementioned NEC Championship on Saturday, October 27 at 11:00 am on the campus of Bryant University. For more information click HERE
