Wagner Blanked By Fairleigh Dickinson

Teaneck, NJ – The Wagner College women's soccer team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson, 3-0, in Northeast Conference (NEC)                                                                                             action on Friday afternoon at University Stadium. In the defeat, the Seahawks fall to 4-10 on the season, and 1-4 in NEC play, while the Knights improve to 5-7-3 and 2-3 in conference play with the win.

FDU tallied all three goals in a 13-minute stretch of the first half, as Amanda Goulet, Carly Tice, and Rachel Hoekstra found the back of the net for the Knights.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maureen Vetter (Brookfield, CT/ Brookfield) made eight saves for Wagner in the loss.

The Seahawks return to action on Sunday, Oct. 14, when the Green & White host Monmouth at 1:00 pm. The game will feature a fundraiser for “Kicks vs. Cancer,” an initiative by the American Cancer Society.
