Lincroft, NJ - The one-two tandem of junior
Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) and sophomore
Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) fueled Wagner to a third-place finish (out of nine teams) at the 4K Monmouth University XC Kick-Off. Fredrickson placed 11th overall in a time of 15:22.4 before Bivona crossed the finish line in 13th place at 15:27.8.

Albany won the team title as the Great Danes finished with 19 points and were followed by the host Hawks (55 points). Wagner placed third with 110 points as Saint Francis (PA) was fourth with 105 points. Seton Hall finished fifth with 155 points, followed by Georgian Court (168), NYU (177), St. Francis (NY) (206) and Drew (244).
Running not far from her hometown, sophomore
Cameo Kirk (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional) was the third Seahawk to finish, placing 22nd in 16:05. Classmate
Samantha Lauro (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) was next up in 29th with a time of 16:17.3.
Rounding out the scorers for the Green & White was junior
Kelly Dennis (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa), who finished 42nd in 16:44.0.
Wagner returns to action on Saturday, September 17 when the Seahawks participate in the 8K Monmouth Invitational.
