West Windsor, NJ - The No. 9 Wagner women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 8 Saint Francis (PA) at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tennis Championship at the Mercer County Tennis Center. The Seahawks will now conclude their season with a match against No. 10 St. Francis (NY) in a battle for ninth place at 4:30 pm.
The Green & White fall to 2-12 on the year while SFPA improves to 4-14.
The Red Flash won the doubles point by virtue of earning a forfeit win at No. 3 before Devynn Sarver and Alex Foty defeated sophomore
Nikki Arnold (Bethlehem, PA / Liberty) and junior
Julie Jebran (Bethlehem, PA / Bethlehem Catholic) 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, SFPA was victorious at No. 1 and No. 2 while winning via forfeit at No. 6. Arnold lost 6-0, 6-0 to Sarver at No. 1 while Foty bested Jebran 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.
