Tournament Results

West Hartford, CT –
The Wagner College women's golf team took a fifth place finish at the Hartford Invitational, with sophomore Miko Page (Brooklyn, NY) leading the Green and White posting a 164 in the two-day event.

Page shot two straight rounds of plus-10 to finish the 36-hole event with a 164, which was good for a 10th place finish individually. Freshman Ellen Huffman (Lima, OH) came out firing in the second day after posting a disappointing round of 87 in the opening round, and shot the fifth best score with a plus-six 78, placing her in a tie for 11th place with a 165.

Sophomore Keri Muse (Sterling, VA) and senior captain Dena Smith (Highland Heights, OH) each threw up rounds of 89 on the first day before Muse improved by three shots in day two with an 86. Smith posted another plus-17 score of 89 in the event's second day, but it wasn't needed as Kaitlin Osmundsen (Staten Island, NY) improved by 20 strokes to shoot an 87 and give the Seahawks their final four-person score of 680.

The Pioneers of Sacred Heart took first place in the five-team tournament with a two-day score of 636, while the individual champion came from the host Hartford Hawks as Sarah Sideranko edged out Carly Bergin with a 153.

Wagner will travel to Suffern, NY, for its last tournament before the Northeast Conference championships when they compete in the Columbia Invitational beginning on Friday.
