Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's basketball team will be looking to even its season mark at 1-1 against the Columbia University Lions of the Ivy League in a 5:00 pm tip-off in the 2011-12 home opener.
Doubleheader - The Wagner-Columbia women's game is the opener of a doubleader as the Seahawk men's team will host North Carolina Central at 7:30 p.m.

Kelly Clark (Neptune, NJ/ St. Rose) had a spectacular night, pouring in 27 points and hauling in 15 rebounds to lead Wagner to a 69-50 come-from-behind road win.

Shawn-Marie Heiliger (Charlotte, NC/ Charlotte Catholic) tossed in 10 points apiece to pace the Seahawks on the offensive end. Five Seahawks saw the first action of their careers. In addition to Heiliger, the other four newcomers to see their first action as Seahawks included junior forward
Chanez Robinson (Newark, NJ/ Malcolm X. Shabazz), a 6-2 transfer from Northeastern, as well as a trio of freshmen in 5-3 point guard
Jacqui Thompson (Southampton, PA/ St. Basil Academy), 6-2 forward
Stephanie Blais (Sherbrooke, Quebec/ Montmorency) and 6-3 center
Ugo Nwaigwe (Valley Stream, NY/ Valley Stream South). Robinson led the Seahawks in rebounds with nine while Clark added seven boards. In addition to Heiliger's 10 points (and team-high four assists), fellow freshmen Thompson and Nwaigwe added six points each, the latter in just seven minutes of action.
