GAME NOTES

Following a bye week, Wagner returns to action when the Seahawks travel to Pittsburgh, PA to meet the Dukes of Duquesne on Saturday, October 22 in a high Noon matchup. Wagner will be looking to snap a fi ve-game losing streak but it will not be an easy task as Duquesne enters the game with a 5-2 record, including a 3-1 mark in the Northeast Conference NEC). The Dukes are coming off a 28-21 home win over Central Connecticut St. last Saturday.

ABOUT WAGNER
Offensively, Wagner is paced by dynamic sophomore running back Dominique Williams who enters the game ranked ninth in the nation in rushing at 111.8 yards per game. Sophomore tight end Joe Sidaras has emerged as a potent offensive force with nine catches in his last three games, upping his season totals to 14 receptions for 186 yards. On the defensive side, junior linebacker C.O. Prime is the team leader in tackles with 46 while sophomore cornerback Jarrett Dieudonne is coming off a stellar game vs. Georgetown (10/8) that earned him NEC Rookie of the Week honors. Duquesne enters the game ranked second in the NEC in scoring offense (29.6) and scoring defense (22.1).

ABOUT DUQUESNE
The Dukes are led on offense by the prolifi c tandem of quarterback Sean Patterson and 6-foot-5 quarterback-turned-wide receiver Conor Dixon, who has caught at least one pass in every game since moving from QB to receiver eight games into the 2009 season. Dixon has caught at least one touchdown pass in six games this season. On the ground, running back Larry McCoy is third in the NEC in rushing at 123.9 yards per game. On the defensive side, linebacker Chris is fourth in the conference with 8.3 tackles per game and is the reigning NEC Defensive Player Week following a 12-tackle effort vs. Central Connecticut St.

THE SERIES WITH DUQUESNE
This is the seventh all-time meeting between the schools in a series that began with a 31-6 Wagner victory in 1992. Duquesne joined the NEC in 2008 and in that time the Dukes hold a 2-1 edge, including last year's come-from-behind 21-20 victory on Grymes Hill.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING
Staten Island, NY (Oct. 23, 2010) - Duquesne scored two fourth quarter touchdowns and overcame a 13-point defi cit en route to a 21-20 come-from-behind win over Wagner while spoiling the Seahawks' Homecoming Day Festivities. Wagner built a seemingly comfortable 20-7 lead following a 29-yard field by David Lopez with 14:51 to go in the game. From that point on it was all Duquesne.
