TEAM RESULTS
New Britain, CT – The Wagner College women's cross country team finished seventh today with a total of 168 points at the Central Connecticut State University Ted Owen Invitational. The 5K women's race was held at Stanly Quarter Park and consisted of ten teams and 80 individual runners.
Wagner placed four runners in the top half of the pack with sophomore
Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) registering the top finish for the Green and White in 26th place with a time of 19:23. Freshman
Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) was the second Seahawk to cross the finish line, taking 29th with a time of 19:29.
Freshman
Samantha Lauro (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) finished 38th (20:15) and freshman
Cameo Kirk (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional) clocked in with a time of 20:18, which was good for 40th place. Following Kirk across the finish line was Sophomore
Kelly Dennis (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa), who rounded out the scorers for Wagner with a 41st place finish with a time of 20:25
Northeastern University took top honors with a total of 46 points with all five scoring runners finishing in the top-15.
The Wagner women's cross country team is back in action on October 8th with the METS Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
