Freshmen Lead Pack at Father Leeber S.J. Invitational

Fairfield, CT –
Two first year standouts, Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) and Kelly Dennis (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) led the way for the Seahawks at the 33rd Annual Father Leeber S.J. Invitational in Fairfield, Connecticut. Fredrickson was the star once again, finishing the 5k race in 26th place with Wagner's best time of 20:31.

Dennis was not far behind, finishing 48th in the group – just seconds behind Fredrickson at 21:10. Rounding out the pack for women was freshman Dominique Serpe (Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame) and senior Nicole Panik (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa), who finished 73rd and 74th respectively. Both registered a time of 22:41.

The women finished seventh overall in the field consisting of nine teams.  They had 198 points collectively.

The Seahawks will return to action on October 9th when they travel to the METS Championship in Van Cortlandt, NY.
