Riverdale, NY- The Wagner College women's soccer team surrendered two goals in the second half, as Manhattan blanked the Seahawks 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 1-5 as the Jaspers move to 4-4.
Following a scoreless first half, Manhattan came out with a renewed attack, but was unable to crack the Seahawks' defense until the 56th minute. The Jaspers' first goal came off an indirect kick that was tapped to Caroline Morse, who netted the ball in the top right corner of the goal.
The Jaspers added an insurance goal in the 86th minute, fashioning the final score at 2-0. The Green & White pressed the attack in the final minutes, but were unable to overcome the deficit.
In the game, Manhattan bested the Seahawks in shots 24-7 and led in corner kicks by a margin of 7-5.

Sam Schueschner (Brookfield, CT / Brookfield) made nine saves while playing the entire 90 minutes between the pipes.
Wagner returns to action on Friday, September 25 when they host the Long Island Blackbirds at 4:00 PM.
