Los Angeles, CA – The Seahawks fell to 5-7 overall with a 9-1 loss to the No. 10 ranked Loyola Marymount Lions on Thursday at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center. Wagner's lone goal came from freshman Rebecca Hannings (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) with 5:58 remaining to break the Seahawks' scoreless drought.

The Lions tallied nine unanswered goals, including five first-period markers to take an early lead. After a 7-0 score at the end of the first half the Seahawks defense stiffened, allowing just two scores in the second half.

A valiant effort from Wagner's goalie Kelsey Rodgers (Anaheim Hills, CA/Fullerton JC) resulted in 10 saves. Seven of her stops can in final half.

Wagner returns to action tomorrow with back-to-back games against Colorado State at 10:30 AM (1:30 PM East Coast) and Azusa Pacific at 12:45 PM (3:45 PM East Coast).
