Poughkeepsie, NY –
Wagner College improved to 3-4 overall with a 9-8 win over the George Washington University Colonials on Sunday. The win solidified third place honors for the Green & White at the ECAC Women's Collegiate Water Polo Championships.

Six different Seahawks found the back of the net including Carina Giles (Mohton, PA/Mifflin), Sara Olguin (Whittier, CA/Sonora) and Nicole Maichrowicz (Temple City, CA/Temple City), who each had two goals in the win. Lauren French (Colmar, PA/North Penn), Tawny Murphy (Keller, TX/Jenks), and Alex Tomlinson (Telford, PA/Souderton) chipped in with a goal apiece, as well. Natalie Pyrz (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) led the way two of the team's three assists.

After a 1-1 first period, the Seahawks found themselves behind 4-3 at halftime. The Colonials looked like they might run away with the win scoring three goals in the third period to make the score 7-4. But it was Wagner who outscored the Colonials 5-1 in the final frame to claim the come-from-behind victory.
