New Britain, CT - The Wagner women's soccer team found out why defending Northeast Conference (NEC) Champion Central Connecticut State is unbeaten in league play, dropping an 8-0 decision to the Blue Devils. With the loss, the Green & White falls to 1-11-2 and 0-5-1 in the NEC while CCSU improves to 7-6-1 and 5-0-0 in the NEC.
The Blue Devils struck first with a goal just 10 minutes into the match before adding another tally with just over seven minutes remaining in the first half to take a 2-0 halftime lead.
CCSU then put the game away with two goals within the first 10 minutes of the second half before adding four more to take the 8-0 victory.

Junior
Samantha Schueschner (Brookfield, CT / Brookfield) made seven saves in defeat for the Green & White. Wagner returns to action on Sunday, October 18 when the Seahawks travel to Quinnipiac for a 12:00 game.
