Staten Island, NY - Rider defeated Wagner 7-0 in women's tennis action at the Wagner Tennis Courts. The Green & White are now 0-2 while the Broncs improve to 1-4.

At No. 1 singles, Kristina Paich handed freshman Karena Webber (West Newbury, MA / Pentucket) a 6-1, 6-0 loss. Junior Joanna Ciavarella (Brooklyn, NY / Fontbone Academy) was felled 6-0, 6-1 by Marly Roche at No. 2 singles. At third flight singles, freshman Aurora Brennen (Yaphank, NY / Longwood) dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 6-0 decision to Tricia Ashmore. At No. 4 singles, freshman Kaeli Havunen lost by a 6-1, 6-1 count to Mallory Garbaravage. Alexa Manforti defeated sophomore Allison Argust (East Greenbush, NY / Averill Park) 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Rider won No. 6 singles by default and claimed the doubles'point en route to the 7-0 win.

Wagner is next in action when the Seahawks travel to Saint Peter's on Saturday, October 24.
