Fairfield, CT
- Senior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) placed first at the 32nd Annual Father Leeber S.J. Invitational,  marking the first win of her collegiate career. Drager bested a field of 123 with a time of 18:56.92.

Drager's win helped the Seahawks to a seventh place finish in the meet despite not having the help of senior Ryan Rogers (Islip, NY/Islip) and freshman Kaela Townsend (Los Gatos, CA/Los Gatos) who are both sidelined with injuries.

Clocking in at 20:28.79 was graduate student Samantha Snukis (St. Clair, PA/Nativity BVM) whose 23rd place finish marks her best collegiate race of her cross country career. Following Snukis was senior Ashley Mallen (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) with a time of 20:46.89, good for 34th.

Seniors Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) and Nicole Panik (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) round out the rest of the Seahawk runners with times 21:30.34 and 23.07.62, respectively.

Drager's win marks the first time in almost five years that a Wagner athlete has won a women's cross country race. The last Green & White win came from the feet of Rachel Knous who broke the tape in 17:56 at the Rider Invitational on October 14, 2003.

The Seahawks will be back in action on October 10, where they will take on the talent at the METS Championships at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx, NY.
