Adam Farnsworth (North Ogden, UT/ Univ. of Iowa) threw for 207 yards and two TDs and senior RB
Rodney Davis (Neshaminy, PA/ Mansfield Univ.) scored on a seven-yard TD run with six seconds left in the game as Wagner posted a 21-14 come-from-behind win at Marist.
With the victory, the Seahawks improved to 2-1 on the season while Marist fell to 1-3.

Lon Woods (St. Petersburg, FL/ J.P. Taravella). Trubelood caught a career-high nine passes for 79 yards while Woods had a career-high eight receptions for 71 yards.
This was a particularly gutsy win for Wagner as three offensive starters left the game with injuries and did not return. Freshman RB
Prince Young (Neptune, NJ/ Fork Union) suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter while left tackle
Zach Johnson (Locust Grove, VA/ Fork Union) suffered a leg injury in the first quarter. In the third quarter, right guard
Matt Martin (Pennsauken, NJ/ Pennsauken) suffered a leg injury. The severity of the injuries is not known at this time.
Marist got on the board first with 5:38 left in the first quarter on a one-yard run by RB Bo Ehikoya which capped a 12-play, 80-yard drive. Early in the second quarter, with the Red Foxes threatening, junior DB
Ken Johnson (Fort Lauderdale/Fort Lauderdale ) intercepted a pass by Marist QB Chris Debowski and returned it up the sideline 47 yards to the Marist 18.
On the very next play, Farnsworth rolled to his left and hit Woods in the end zone and the
Eric Ortiz (Oceanside, C A/ Vista) PAT tied the game at 7-7. Marist seized a 14-7 lead with 10:35 left in the second quarter when Ehikoya capped a five-play, 67-yard march with his second one-yard TD run.
Wagner knotted the game at 14-14 midway through the third quarter when Farnsworth hit sophomore WR
Tyrone Collins (Geneva, NY/ Geneva) for a 10-yard score which capped a well-executed 12-play, 60-yard drive with Ortiz' PAT being the equalizer. After Marist punted on its ensuing possession, the Seahawks pver at their own 17 and drove the ball the length of the field, reaching the Marist one-yard line. However, on third-and-goal from the Marist eight, Nick Andre intercepted a pass to end a 21-play Wagner drive which took up 10:50.
The score remained this way until late in the fourth quarter when Farnsworth engineered the game-winning drive, which began at the Wagner 21-yard line and 5:45 left in the game. Using a mixture of pass and runs, with Smith leading the way on the ground, bulling his way for 45 yards on nine carries, the Seahawks marched to the Marist two-yard line before an illegal procedure penalty created a third-and-goal situation from the Red Fox seven-yard line.
Davis, who has battled his way back from a torn ACL suffered in week 10 of the 2007 season, powered his way over right tackle, carrying a host of Marist defenders with him into the end zone with six seconds left to lift Wagner to the win.
Wagner dominated the game statistically, outgaining the Red Foxes 374-257, including a 185-153 edge in the rushing department. Farnsworth's 207 yards passing came on an efficient 25-of-32 effort through the air. Sophomore DB
Stefen Gage (Syracuse, NY/ Henninger) and senior LB
Jeremy Spinks (Tampa, FL/ Chamberlain) paced Wagner defensively with 10 tackles apiece while senior LB
Jason Haskins (Matawan, NJ/ Kean Univ.) and senior DT
Adrian Adderly (Carver Ranches, FL / Monsignor Pace) recorded nine and eight tackles, respectively.
Marist's multi-purpose QB Chris Debowski led Marist on the ground with 83 yards on just nine carries and completed 7of-17 passes for 107 yards.
Wagner returns to Grymes Hill on Saturday, September 27 when the Seahawks host Bryant University in a 1:00 pm kickoff.
