Drager's time of 18:37 trailed top finisher Chelsea Bollerman of Quinnipiac by only nine seconds as Drager sped her way to the best Wagner finish at the NEC Championships since Karina Acevedo's win at the 2001 Championships. Only five females, including Drager, have finished in the top two at the NEC Championships as Acevedo, Maureen Horn, Jennifer Livningston and Wagner Hall of Fame member Tara Maguire each claim the other four spots.
