Holmdel, NJ – The Wagner women's cross country team took sixth place out of a field of 12 at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships while senior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) brought home second place and her third All-NEC award of her career.

Drager's time of 18:37 trailed top finisher Chelsea Bollerman of Quinnipiac by only nine seconds as Drager sped her way to the best Wagner finish at the NEC Championships since Karina Acevedo's win at the 2001 Championships. Only five females, including Drager, have finished in the top two at the NEC Championships as Acevedo, Maureen Horn, Jennifer Livningston and Wagner Hall of Fame member Tara Maguire each claim the other four spots.

Clocking in second for the Green & White was graduate student Samantha Snukis (St. Clair, PANativity BVM) with a 25th place finish of 20:19. Junior Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) followed up with a 40th place showing in 21:03 while freshman Kaela Townsend (Los Gatos, CA/Los Gatos) clocked in a time of 21:14, good for 43rd.

Senior Ashley Mallen (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) battled a hip injury for her 47th place finish in 21:21 as junior Nicole Panik (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) close out the Seahawk pack with a 23:00, 69th place finish.
