Saint Francis (PA) Defeats Wagner 5-2

Wagner (0-4, 0-2 NEC) dropped a 5-2 decision at Saint Francis (PA) over the weekend.

Senior Brittany Frazza (West Caldwell, NJ / Morris Catholic) picked up her first win of the year over Abby Ball at No. 1 singles in a three-set thriller by scores of 1-6, 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Britta Olsen (Hallowell, ME / Hall-Dale) captured her first collegiate win with an easy 6-1, 6-4 victory over Ashley Zalewski at No. 3 singles.

Olsen also combined with freshman Sabrina DiLeo (Staten Island, NY / Notre Dame Academy) for an 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Elsewhere in singles' action, senior Emily Boyd (Stratham, NH / Exeter Area) was handed a 6-0, 6-1 setback at No. 2 singles by Stephanie Rivera. Junior Valerie LeCureux (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks East) was also denied 6-0, 6-4 by Devynn Sarver at No. 4 singles. At the five-spot, Juliana Gustafson set down sophomore Joanna Ciavarella (Brooklyn, NY / Fontbone Academy) 7-6, 6-3. At No. 6 singles, DiLeo was shut out 6-0, 6-0 by Brianna Mapes.

SFPA claimed the doubles' point by winning at No. 1 and No. 3.
