Women’s Cross Country Sets Four Personal Records at Albany Invitational

– The Wagner women's cross country team set four personal records as they went on to a 14th place finish out of 24 teams at the Albany Invitational.
 
The first to clock in her best collegiate time was reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) women's cross country athlete of the week Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro). Drager took 12th place a time of 18:14.7, bettering her previous best by 24 seconds.
 
Following Drager was graduate student Samantha Snukis (St. Clair, PA/Nativity BVM) who brought in a time of 19:34.9 for her best collegiate race of her career. Senior Ashley Mallen (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) and junior Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) kept the personal records coming with times of 19:35.7 and 20:12.6, respectively. Closing out the Seahawk top five runners was junior Nicole Panik (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) who clocked in a time of 21:46.2.
 
The Seahawks will hit the trail one last time before the NEC Championships when they take on the field of the Central Connecticut Mini-Meet on Saturday, October 25.
