Staten Island, NY- The Wagner College women's soccer team fell to the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Blue Devils this afternoon by a score of 4-0 in a Northeast Conference (NEC) game at Wagner College Stadium.
CCSU (7-4-4, 4-1-0 NEC) took an early lead in the fifth minute of the game when junior Leah Blayney deposited a goal from 20 yards out. Central Connecticut State managed to score once more off of freshman Brittany Jackson's 30 yard boot, extending its lead to 2-0 at intermisson.
CCSU's Beth Lloyd cashed in a shot from 20 yards out in the 60th minute to make it a 3-0 game. With three minutes left in the game, the Blue Devils' Clio Tregear rounded out the day's scoring with a goal off of a header.
The Seahawks were neck-and-neck with the Blue Devils in the shots category, besting CCSU 19-17. Wagner also led in corner kicks, 6-4.

Leslie Reed (Indian Harbour Beach, FL/ Satellite) went the entire 90 minutes and recorded six saves in the loss.
The Seahawks (2-8-4, 0-3-1 NEC) return to action Sunday October, 19 when they host the Bobcats of Quinnipiac in another NEC matchup. Start time is set for 1:00 pm.
