Bronx, NY - Senior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) followed up her first-career collegiate cross-country win with another dazzling performance at the METS Championships, leading the Green & White to a seventh place finish.

 

With a time of 18:45, Drager took fourth place out of a field of 125. Her time betters her performance at the 2007 METS Championships where she ran 19:31, good for ninth place.

 

Following up Drager was graduate student Samantha Snukis (St. Clair, PA/Nativity BVM) who continued her assault on the stop-watch with a 23rd place finish in 20:02, making this run the third straight race that Snukis has set a personal cross-country record.

 

Staten Island native Ashley Mallen (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) brought home 43rd, clocking in at 20:42 while senior Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) closed out her performance with a time of 21:07, good for 54th.

 

Closing out the Seahawk scorers were freshman Kaela Townsend (Los Gatos, CA) who made her collegiate debut finishing 67th in 21:58 with junior Nicole Panik (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) clocking in at 23:33.

 

The Seahawks return to action Saturday, August 18 where they will take on the field of the Albany Invitational.
