Senior Shea Gegan (Belmar, NJ/ Manasquan) of the women's lacrosse team has been been named the Walsh Electric Women's Student-Athlete of the Month for March.Gegan paced the Seahawks in six major statistical categories during the month, leading Wagner in goals (15), assists (8), points (23), groundballs (14), draw controls (14) and caused turnovers (16). Her month was highlighted on March 5 when she scored five consecutive goals in the second half en route to a career-high six-goal performance as Wagner overcame a 6-3 first-half deficit en route to earning an 11-9 come-from-behind victory over Saint Joseph's. The athletic 5-10 junior, who led the nation in caused turnovers and ground balls on her way to being tabbed the 2015 Northeast Conference (NEC) Midfielder of the Year, added one assist vs. Saint Joe's to give her seven points for the day and helped her earn  Player of the Week honors. Gegan's well-rounded display of skill and versatility were on full display vs. the Hawks, as she was 6-of-8 shooting while also contributing game highs with five caused turnovers and five ground balls. This was the 11th time in her career that Gegan has taken home NEC weekly honors. In the six games played during March, the 5-10 midfielder tallied five or points on three occasions as she also closed the month with three-goal, two-assist outings vs. Delaware State (3/26) and Columbia (3/30).
