Nihipali was named NEC Swimmer of the Week along with Collegeswimming.com Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Week on November 23rd. She garnered these accolades after competing at the Frank Elm Invitational where she set four school records, two meet records, made two NCAA "B" cuts while winning two of her individual events. She won the 100 Backstroke in a new Frank Elm meet record of 53.69. In the 100 Free, Nihipali claimed first place with a time of 49.99 to set a new school marker and broke the meet record that had stood since 2005 by current U.S. national team member Madison Kennedy. Both of these times are qualifying NCAA "B" cuts. Nihipali's times in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Back, and 100 Fly are the fastest in the conference currently. Earlier in the month, in an away meet at Saint Francis University, Nihipali won all her individual events again, breaking the pool record in the 100 Back with a 56.13 while being a part of the 200 Medley Relay that took first place in a new pool record time of 1:46.11 en route to a 148-114 win over the Red Flash.
