Born in Toledo, OH and raised in Detroit, Preston Baker joined the Wagner College Athletics office in September 2025 as the Broadcast Coordinator with several years of broadcast and production experience under his belt.
Baker graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in sports administration. While at UC, he served as the sports director for Bearcast Media, where he called baseball, basketball and football, including the 2021 Cotton Bowl Classic. In the professional sphere, Baker has provided play-by-play and color commentary for the Michigan (née Lake Erie) Monarchs of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, the Johnson City Doughboys of the Appalachain League, and was the media relations assistant for the Florence Y'alls of the Frontier League.
Baker is currently pursuing his MBA at Wagner alongside his broadcast coordination duties.
