Malcolm Pope

Malcolm Pope joined the Wagner men’s basketball staff in May 2026.

Pope arrives on Grymes Hill after spending the previous three seasons as the head boys basketball coach at Pioneer Academy in Wayne, New Jersey. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at Our Savior Lutheran for three seasons.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Pope served as the head coach of the New York Lightning 16U EYBL AAU team for the past six years, winning multiple championships while helping numerous student-athletes earn college scholarship opportunities.

A native of Harlem, New York, Pope graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2015 with a degree in communications.
