Wagner College Director of Athletics Brendan Fahey has announced the hiring of Madison Bonamo ’18 M’19 as Wagner’s Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations.
Bonamo will oversee internal operations and finances for all of Wagner’s 28 varsity sports while serving as the sport administrator for baseball, field hockey, women’s soccer, bowling, and women’s fencing.
"We're excited to welcome Madison back to Wagner," Fahey commented. "Her background in finance makes her a perfect fit for the position and we're glad to bring another successful alumna back to our athletic family."
Previously, Bonamo served as an Audit Senior Associate at Grant Thornton LLP in New Jersey for three years.
At Grant Thronton, LLP, Bonamo planned, performed, and completed financial services audits in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting and reviewed US GAAP Financial Statements, while working closely with management of clients, financial accounting, operations and communicate results of audit procedures and indicating opportunities for improvement and recommending efficiencies.
No stranger to Grymes Hill, Bonamo is one of the most decorated swimmers in Wagner history. A two-time team captain and two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) champion in the 1650 free, she is still in possession of three school records in the 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, and 800 Free Relay. Additionally, Bonamo was a member of Wagner's triathlon team and an NCAA qualifier.
Bonamo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Accounting from Wagner.
