Mackenzie Armbrust

Mackenzie Armbrust joined Wagner College Athletics as the Marketing Graduate Assistant in August 2025. In this role, she is the primary contact for all external marketing relations while also working towards her MBA with a focus in marketing.

She graduated from SUNY Cortland in May 2025 with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, concentrating in Facility and Event Management. During her time at Cortland, she gained extensive hands-on experience in athletic event operations. She began as a volunteer at Cortland athletic events and was soon hired as an Event Manager, a role she held for three of her four college years. In this position, she led a 12-member team, coordinated facility setup and breakdown, communicated protocols among stakeholders, and ensured seamless execution across multiple sports.

Mackenzie also volunteered at the 2023 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Lake Placid, managing ticket sales, credential checks, and parking. Additionally, she successfully planned, marketed, and executed two events as head coordinator, a Spikeball tournament and a First Responder Flag Football game, which raised $2,000 for Toys for Tots.

She further honed her skills as an Event Operations and Media Intern at SUNY Cortland, providing support in sports media production by creating call sheets, assisting with live broadcasts through color commentary, coordinating game-day logistics for visiting teams, and mentoring 60+ students as a Teaching Assistant. Following her internship, she was honored with the Lisa A. Scherer Outstanding Intern Award. She has also contributed to event operations at Cornell University and strengthened her customer service skills through summer work as a server and banquet server.

Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, Mackenzie enjoys hiking, playing basketball, and working out.
