Josh McClurg joined the Wagner football staff in the spring of 2026 after spending the past two seasons at Eastern Kentucky University.
During his first year with the Colonels, McClurg served as the assistant inside linebackers coach as EKU posted a 6–2 record in UAC play and advanced to the NCAA FCS Playoffs. This past season, he transitioned into the role of assistant defensive backs coach, continuing to contribute to the program’s defensive development.
Prior to his time at EKU, McClurg coached tight ends at UVA-Wise.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, McClurg played three seasons as a defensive back at Morehead State University, where he graduated in 2023.
