Alyssa Hughes

Alyssa Hughes is the Director of Softball Operations at Wagner College, where she assists with daily program operations, player development, and overall team support.

Hughes completed her collegiate playing career at Post University (NCAA Division II, CACC) from 2022–2025 as a pitcher, logging 189 career innings. In 2025, she was named Post University’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year, honoring her outstanding athletic and academic achievements.

Hughes graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors distinction in 2025, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout her collegiate career, and is currently pursuing her MBA.

Prior to Post, Hughes competed with the NJ Pride and Morris County Belles travel softball program and was a three-year Varsity athlete at Notre Dame Academy (Staten Island).

Throughout her career, Hughes has trained under respected leaders in the sport, including Tom Besser, Kristen Erb, Amanda Scarborough, Amber Fiser , Samantha Esque, and Diana Schraer, influencing her approach to pitching instruction, player development, and team culture.
