Wagner College Athletics

Born and raised in New York City, Alexander Ganias joined the Wagner College Athletics Media Relations Department in September 2025, and serves as the media contact for M/W Tennis, M/W Fencing, M/W Swim & Dive, and Softball. Before joining the Wagner staff, Ganias attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his Bachelor’s in English writing. 
 

During his time at Pitt, Ganias wrote for the student newspaper, where he was nominated for a Golden Quill by the Press Club of Western PA in 2022. He also called several athletics competitions for WPTS Pitt Student Radio, including a handful of games at Acrisure Stadium and one at Madison Square Garden. Off campus, he currently works as a field-time coordinator for the Brooklyn Cyclones of Minor League Baseball, as well as a broadcaster for the soccer streaming service Game in Frame.
 

Ganias hails from the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
