Shavon Greaves

Shavon Greaves enters her second year as an Assistant Track & Field Coach.

Greaves joins the Seahawks following a stellar career at Penn State University as a member of the Nittany Lions nationally ranked women’s track & field program. During her time at State College, Greaves was a 14-Time Big Ten Champion and nine-time All-American, competing as a sprinter.

Greaves capped out her outstanding career by garnering her third consecutive Big Ten Athlete of the Year award in 2011.  Greaves also earned that honor in 2009 and 2010, along with becoming Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2008. Highlighting her career included her school record 7.24 second run in the indoor 60-meters, as well as her personal best 22.98 second run in the 200-meters, which was the fastest time run by any athlete all season in 2010.

“I think she will be a great addition to the program,” said Head Track & Field Coach Joe Stasi.”  She brings a lot of experience and excitement to Wagner. She has run at a high level, and will maximize our athletes’ potential.”

At Penn State, Greaves was a Dean’s List student, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Fitness studies in 2011. In addition to her duties with the Track & Field teams, Greaves will be pursuing a Masters in Health Administration at Wagner.
