Under Castany's leadership, the Seahawks went 11-9 overall and 3-4 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play.  The Green & White strung together a season-high five match win streak, beginning with a 6-1 road victory against Monmouth (September 22) and concluding on the road at Bucknell (February 12), when the Seahawks defeated the Bison, 4-3.

This season, Castany sent two Seahawks to the 2016 ITA Northeast Regional Championships as graduated senior Avika Sagwal and rising senior Samantha Hodges represented Wagner in the tournament.

Castany earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Augusta University in Augusta, GA in December of 2015 after spending three seasons as a full scholarship member of the Jaguars' program.

Prior to attending Augusta, Castany began her collegiate studies in 2011 at Arkansas Tech University on a full tennis scholarship.

As a student-athlete, Castany earned the Augusta University Coaches' Award in 2015 after completing her career where she played No. 1 singles for the Jaguars.

At Arkansas Tech, she helped lead the Golden Suns to the Great American Conference (GAC) championship in 2012 and 2013 while being named the inaugural GAC Freshman of the Year in 2012 after posting a 17-5 singles record, which included a 4-1 mark in conference play.

Among Castany's involvement in the sport of tennis, she worked as a Tennis Coordinator at Club Tennis Turomar in Badalona, Spain where she directed a tennis academy of 60 members while managing tennis professionals. While there, she worked five years as a tennis instructor, teaching the game to adults and children of all ages.
