Before Wagner: Five-year varsity starter at Denver High School... Four-time All-Conference player and All-District player... Made Second-team All-State during his senior year... Holds school records in career at-bats, runs scored, doubles, hit-by-pitch, OBP and career opponent batting average... Southeastern Academic Athlete of the Year 2022-2023... Played at Southeastern Community College in Iowa, compiling a .324 batting average across two seasons... Batted .354 during his sophomore campaign, earning JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team in 2023... Was an ICCAC All-Region Honorable Mention and was a part of the national runner-up Blackhawks in the JUCO World Series... Son of Aaron and Kristie Phelps...
