Shayna Pirreca is in her first season with the Seahawks, having joined the Wagner athletic family in August, 2018 following an outstanding playing career at the University of Florida.

While with the Gators, where she played for two seasons under current Seahawk head coach and former UF assistant, Michelle Tumolo, Pirreca was a three-time All-Big East and All-South Region selection (2016-18).

Nominated for national rookie of the year honors in 2015, Pirreca went on to develop into a two-time Tewaraaton Award Watch List member. A 2018 All-American and team captain for the gators, Pirreca was the number six pick of the Upstate Pride in the 2018 Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL).

During her stellar collegiate career, Pirreca tallied a staggering 214 points on 154 goals and 60 assists with a career-high six goals coming vs. Syracuse.

Pirreca, who earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Florida in 2018, was a standout high school player at Mount Sinai High School where she totaled 308 goals and 184 assists.
