Sarah Willard

Sarah Willard has been named an assistant coach for the three-time Northeast Conference (NEC) champion Wagner women's lacrosse team and will begin working with the team in preparation for the Spring 2022 season.

Willard comes to Grymes Hill after spending the last two seasons with Butler as their draw control and defensive coordinator, overseeing a unit that was Top 10 in the nation in scoring defense in 2020.

A former team captain while at Towson, Willard was part of a program that won the 2016 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship and played in the 2016, 2017, and 2018 NCAA Tournaments. She was a team captain during her final year with the program in 2019.

Beyond her numerous accomplishments as a player, which include being a two-time Under Armour All-American while in high school, Willard also boasts an impressive amount of coaching experience, spending a total of three years at the helm of the Syracuse Salt City Snipers and Circle City Lacrosse Club in Indiana.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities at Wagner, Willard will also pursue a Master's degree during her time on Grymes Hill.
