James Plummer enters his third season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach in 2015-2016.
A 2013 graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Labor Relations and Employment, Plummer competed for the Scarlet Knights in throwing events such as the shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw.
Throughout his collegiate years, Plummer became a First Team All-American and the Big East Champion in the discus. Along with these accolades, Plummer was a member of the Big East All-Academic team from 2011-13, and a three-time Penn Relays and Big East Champion. Plummer has personal bests of 205’0” in the discus, 57’11.25” in the shot put, and 57’7” in the weight throw.
A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Plummer worked as a camp counselor at Berkeley Recreation while at Rutgers, overseeing activities and sports for junior high aged children.
Along with serving as an Assistant Track & Field Coach, Plummer will be pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration.
