Felipe Fuentes

Felipe Fuentes enters his second season as the Wagner men's tennis head coach, after arriving on Grymes Hill in the summer of 2019.

Fuentes attended and completed his collegiate career at Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) member, Niagara University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management back in 2017.

In his two seasons at Niagara, Fuentes, who played primarily out of the No. 1 spot, racked up 14 wins, with ten of those victories coming in dual match play. In 14 career MAAC matches, he recorded seven victories, 

In his final collegiate match, against Siena, Fuentes earned a 6-4; 6-1 victory in No. 1 singles and along with his teammate, Francis Nadeau, edged out the pairing of Alessandro Saglia and Matt Bellino, 7-5, in No. 1 doubles. 
 
Born in Rancagua, Chile, Fuentes transferred to Niagara after spending two years at the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA.

In 2015, Fuentes was ranked sixth in the state of California and was selected to the ITA-All American Men's Teams. Additionally, he was a pre-qualifier for the 2015 BNP Paribas Open, also known as the 2015 Indian Wells Masters, which was held in Indian Wells, CA. 

Ranked second in his home country of Chile, his highest ranking on the ITF Junior circuit was 907. 

At Wagner, in addition to his coaching responsibilities, Fuentes will be pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration.
