Anthony Iannello

Former Bryant University standout Anthony Iannello was named an assistant coach with the Wagner College men's lacrosse program in June, 2011.

While at Bryant, the Lake Ronkonkoma, NY native was selected as one of 10 finalists from among all Division I men’s lacrosse athletes for the prestigious Lowe’s Award, which is based on achievements in the classroom, community, character and competition.

Iannello, who starred at Sachem North High School on Long Island before matriculating at Bryant, scooped up 31 ground balls and came up with 13 caused turnovers from his long-stick midfield position during his senior season. For his career, he amassed 170 ground balls and 59 caused turnovers in 64 games played. He served as a team captain in both his junior and senior seasons.

While at Bryant, Iannello was involved in a host of organizations, including being a member of the Senior Advisory Council, a group that meets with the University President and administrators on current issues and proposals.

He was involved with the Tomorrow’s Fund where he collected funds from his teammates that were used to purchase and deliver gifts to children with cancer. Iannello also wrote sports articles for the campus newspaper The Archway and served as an intern in the Bryant Athletic Communications Department.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bryant in Communication while pursuing a minor in Business Administration.
