Amelia Sapirman

Amelia Sapirman, a standout goalkeeper at NJIT, embarks on her second season as assistant coach of the Wagner College women's soccer program in 2020. 

As a senior for the Highlanders, Sapirman started in all 18 matches in goal, tallying 88 saves and posting a 1.14 goals-against average, and a .807 save percentage. She registered nine shutouts during the 2018 campaign and a registered a career-best 13 saves at North Florida September 28, in addition to a 10 save effort against Lipscomb.

For Sapirman's career, she recorded 153 saves and a .785 save percentage en route to becoming NJIT's all-time program leader in career shutouts (13), and career wins (18).
 
In addition to her prolific collegiate playing career, Sapirman served as volunteer assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at her alma mater, Liberty High School, where, along with the head coach, ran summer league training sessions and focused primarily on goalkeeper development.  
 
Currently, Sapirman is an assistant with the U-23 women's soccer team at Keystone Athletics for its summer league sessions while also training goalkeepers of the women's soccer team at Nazareth High School.
 
At Liberty High School, Sapirman earned all-conference honors and graduated with the highest honors and a 4.4 GPA. As a member of the U18 club team, Matchfit Academy, she helped lead the team to its first-ever national title under the direction of Dominick Bucci.
 
Sapirman, a multiple-time Dean's List selection, is a Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority member while being apart of the Leadership Team of the chapter. She graduated NJIT with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
 
At Wagner, Sapirman will assist Casella in all aspects of the program while working with the goalkeepers, in addition to pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
