Wagner College Athletics

Nevon Williams is an exciting, big-play athlete who can impact a game from his role in the secondary, either at cornerback or safety, as well as on special teams where he is a dangerous kickoff return man. Williams is also a durable athlete, blessed with great speed, who has seen in action in 20 games during his Seahawk career.

2013: Saw action in all 11 games, with four starts … Credited with 26 tackles on the season, including 17 of the solo variety … Recorded career-high eight-tackle game at Syracuse (9/14), highlighted by a career-high five solo stops … Had a trio of three-tackle games – vs. Georgetown (8/31), Merrimack (9/6) and Robert Morris (10/26) … Registered at least one tackle in all 11 contests … Posted two tackle-for-loss for minus eight yards … Had one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry … Ranked No. 2 on the team in kickoff return average (21.3), number of kickoff returns (12) and kickoff return yards (256) … Busted a career-long 33-yard kickoff return vs. Central Connecticut (11/2).

2012: Appeared in seven games in his second year with the Seahawks … Recorded six tackles on the year. 

2011: Played in two games during his freshman campaign as a defensive back for the Seahawks … Recorded two tackles on the season, both of which came at Duquesne (10/22).

Before Wagner: A top two-way performer who was named All-County and All-League as a senior … Also excelled on the basketball and track & field teams, helping to lead the Highwaymen to Sectional Championships in both sports … Played for Coach Art Mazzacca at Teaneck HS.
