Greg Burton is an experienced, athletic fifth-year senior who’s expected to add leadership and savvy to a defensive unit that will be young in several areas this season after playing a significant role on the NEC’s top-ranked defensive unit in 2012.

 2012: Appeared in all 13 games for the Seahawks in 2012 … Recorded 12 tackles for the season … Tallied multiple stops in three games.

2011: Started in 10 of the Seahawks’ 11 games during his sophomore season … Tied for seventh on the team in tackles (49) … Recorded two sacks during the campaign … Closed out the season with eight tackles and 0.5 sacks at Monmouth (11/19) ... Had seven tackles and 1.5 sacks at in the 38-17 win at Robert Morris (11/12) … Tallied seven tackles at Duquesne (10/22) … Made six stops at Bryant (9/24) … Recorded five tackles at Cornell (10/1) … Had four tackles against Albany (10/29) and vs. Sacred Heart (11/5) … Picked up three tackles at Richmond (9/10) and vs. Central Connecticut (9/17) … Tallied two tackles against Georgetown (10/8).

2010: Saw action in 10 games with one start … Credited with 14 tackles on the season, including two solo stops … Registered a season-high four tackles at Central Connecticut St. (10/30) … Also had three-tackle games vs. Cornell (9/18) and Duquesne (10/23).

Personal/Bio: Averaged 10.9 tackles per game with a total of 98 stops, including 58 solo … As a senior in 2008, led his team to the state sectional finals for the first time since 1988 …. Had four double-digit tackle games ... Season-high 16 stops (10 solo) vs. Monroe Township HS and 15 vs. Colonia HS … Helped New Jersey to a win in the NJ vs. Northeast All-Star Football Classic at Rutgers University … Also a standout on the Tigers' basketball team.
