Former Penn State standout Ollie Ogbu completed his second season as the Seahawks' defensive line coach in 2021.
 
Ogbu came to Staten Island after spending the previous year as an assistant coach at the University of New Haven. While with the Chargers, Ogbu was in charge of the defensive line and assisted with recruiting in both New Jersey and Connecticut.
 
Prior to his time in New Haven, Ogbu spent the 2019 season at Blinn College in Brenham, TX, where he was charged with leading the defensive line. Under his instruction, the defensive line, which was starting two freshman, totaled over 50 sacks in the season.
 
Ogbu found his way to Brenham through Montana State University – Northern, where he got his coaching start, leading the defensive line during the 2018 season.
 
The Staten Island native was a four-year starter on the defensive line at Penn State from 2006-2010, playing in four different New Year's Six bowl games. Nicknamed the "Staten Island Ferry" upon his arrival to campus and after redshirting his first year, he was named to the Freshman All-Big Ten team. In his senior season, Ogbu was named a team captain and earned Big Ten All-Conference honors before participating in the East/West Shrine Game.
 
Ogbu earned Bachelor's Degrees in Sociology and Crime, Law, and Justice during his time in State College before embarking on a three-year professional football career that saw him play for both the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL) and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
